What is the automatic debit option for paying my bill?
The automatic debit option, also called bank drafting or ACH debit, is a service that allows you to automatically pay your City of El Paso utility bill from your checking account. No writing checks, finding stamps, remembering to mail your payment on time, or worries when you're out of town. The amount of your bill is automatically deducted from your checking account.

Every month you'll receive your utility bill in the mail, but you don't need to write a check. The 10th of the following month, the amount of your bill is deducted from your checking account automatically. The transaction appears on your bank statements.
