Why is my bill so high?
The minimum water / sewer bill is $26.42 for 2,000 gallons. For usage that exceeds 2,000 gallons it is 1.099 per gallon. If you have an abnormally high bill but have had normal charges for the last few payment periods, it's likely that you have a leak of some kind. A leaky toilet can lose 2,000 gallons a day. Leaving the garden hose running could waste 750 gallons an hour. Even a dripping faucet could cost you for an extra 1,000 gallons or more a month.
