Waste Water Treatment Plant Lift Station and Force Main
The City of El Paso is in the process of constructing a new sewer pumping station at the sewer treatment plant. This new pumping station will replace the existing station which has served the city since 1969. The existing station was upgraded in 1984 but has reached the end of its useful life and capacity. After carefully reviewing a number of options, the city council decided the most cost effective solution was to replace the station with a completely new structure.
With the design work completed and the bid process under way the city hopes to have the new station in operation by late 2012. The new pumping station will more than triple the existing capacity and provide the citizens of El Paso with many years of improved service.
