Baseball
El Paso Recreation offers our baseball program from the Pre-Kindergarten (must be four years old) age through the 7th Grade. The program is eligible for registration in February and begins in May with practices for each grade level. All practices are conducted here in El Paso with game locations being determined by grade level. Each participant will receive a T-Shirt and a hat for the baseball season. Age groups and leagues are as follows:

  • Pre-K - Kindergarten Tee-ball (Boys & Girls)
  • 1st and 2nd Grade Instructional (Boys & Girls)
  • 3rd and 4th Grade Minors (Boys)
  • 5th, 6th, 7th Grade Majors (Boys)

Tee-ball
Tee-ball will consist of approximately 10 boys and girls per team. Coaches will be on the field for guidance and assistance. Games will be played on Subway Field in El Paso from the week before Memorial Day through the end of June. Teams will play six games.

Instructional
Instructional baseball for boys and girls will consist of just El Paso teams, if we can acquire enough participants. If we do not, we will join up in a league with Hudson and Minonk. All of the games will be at Subway Field in El Paso. In this league the coaches pitch to the boys and girls. Games will fall during the week and not on weekends. There will be approximately six games.

Minors
Minors baseball will be a combination of coach-pitch and a player’s pitch. Each team will have a player pitch the opening two innings with the coaches pitching for the remainder of the game. Approximately half of the games will be played here in El Paso. The other half of the games will be played in Cornell, Flanagan, Gridley, Hudson, or Minonk. The season will consist of 12 games in May through June. The majority of the games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights, however there may be games played on a Monday or a Wednesday night. If you have an address in El Paso you will sign up through El Paso Recreation. If you have a Gridley address, you will sign up through Gridley Little League.
