Baseball
The El Paso Parks and Recreation Office offers our baseball program from the Pre-Kindergarten age through 7th Grade. The program is eligible for registration in Early March and begins in May with practices for each grade level. All practices are conducted here in El Paso with game locations being determine by grade level. Each participant will receive a hat and t-shirt for the baseball season. Age groups and leagues are as follows:

  • Pre K - K Tee Ball Boys & Girls
  • 1st and 2nd Grade Instructional Boys & Girls
  • 3rd and 4th Grade Minors Boys
  • 5th, 6th, 7th Grade Majors Boys

Tee Ball
Tee Ball will consist of approximately 10 boys and girls per team. Coaches will be on the field for guidance and assistance. Games will be played on Subway Field in El Paso on Tuesday and Thursday nights through June. Teams will play around six games.

Instructional League
Instructional League for boys and girls will consist of just El Paso teams if we can acquire enough participants. If we do not, we will join up in a league with Minonk and Hudson. The majority of the games will be within El Paso. In this league strictly coaches pitch to the boys and girls! Games will fall during the week and not on weekends. Most likely the games will fall on Tuesday and Thursdays and there will be approximately six games.

Boys Minors
Boys Minors will be a combination of coach’s pitch and player’s pitch. Each team will have a player pitch the opening two innings with coach’s pitch for the remainder of the game. Approximately half of the games will be played here in El Paso. The other half of the games will be played in Hudson, Flanagan, or Gridley. The season will consist of 7 – 9 games through June. The majority of the games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights, however there may games played on a Monday or Wednesday night. If you have an address in El Paso you will sign up through El Paso Recreation. If you have a Gridley address, you will sign up through Gridley Baseball.

Boys Majors
Boys Majors will consist of players pitching the entire game. The games will be played during the week, Monday through Friday. Games will be played in the month of June going into the early parts of July. The team will play approximately 12 games with a season ending tournament at the end. Half of the games will be played here in El Paso. The other half of the games will be played in Hudson, Flanagan, Eureka or Gridley. If you have an address in El Paso you will sign up through El Paso Recreation. If you have a Gridley address, you will sign up through Gridley Baseball.
