Adopt-A-Flower Bed Program

Purpose of Agreement
The purpose of the Adopt-A-Flower Bed Program is to have a joint agreement between the individual and the City of El Paso to beautify the city. The City of El Paso has made both a monetary and time commitment to each bed, and appreciates the hard work and dedication of each individual and group involved in the program. The following information will outline the parnership between the city and the individual.
City of El Paso Responsibilities
The responsibilities incurred by the City of El Paso will be as follows:
Select the flowerbeds that are eligible for the program
Till the selected flowerbeds for the program
Put leaf mulch in the flowerbeds that are tilled by the City
Free wood chips and leaf mulch that planters can use in their bed
Have a sign made with the bed planter's name for their bed
Provide the planters with the flowers of their choice from Koos Nursery
Adopt-A-Flower Bed Participant Responsibilities
The responsibilities incurred by the participant will be as follows:
Select the flowerbed they wish to Adopt for the summer
Select flowers from Koos Nursery they wish to plant
Have flowers selected and planted by Memorial Day
Keep flowerbed weeded and watered until Labor Day Weekend
A diagram provided to City Hall if your bed has perennials planted.
